Hi! Thanks for being here –
This website is really just meant to be my own playground right now. I have a diverse array of interests from art and philosophy to social cognition and well-being to the food and beverage industry. That said, nothing is truly off-topic and nothing is out of bounds. I will also be the first to admit, there are several oceans worth of things I do not know and don’t understand. If I’m writing or posting something here, it is not to insinuate that I’m an expert. In fact, most of the content I explore here is meant as a open invitation to correct my assumptions and to teach me more about a subject I’d like to know more about. Again, I do not make claims of expertise. This is a “playground” for a reason, play is meant to make mistakes in a safe, forgiving learning environment.
This ties into the monkey analogy here. Humans are thought to be the more ‘sophisticated’ descendant of apes, yet we often fall into the same traps as our primate ancestors. Moreover, we often face more severe consequences for those inherited behaviors when they are reproduced in our modern world. Much of my thinking holds this assumption at its core. Some times my thoughts will fall short of your expectations, this is to be expected- I too am just a monkey, trying to learn as I go. But with a healthy dose of humor and a sprinkling of data, thoughtfulness and generosity of spirit, perhaps we can learn a few things together or at least have a meaty discussion to chew on as we continue going through life.

If you’ve made it this far into the site (or even if you just visited), thank you, and I owe you a proverbial banana.
